CarGurus Analysis: 2016 Dodge Durango
Summary
With 11 currently listed for sale and an average price of $13,900 CAD, 27.3% of 2016 Dodge Durango listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2016 Dodge Durango 5 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2016 Dodge Durango stands out as a midsize SUV that blends family-friendly practicality with a distinctly muscular character. In Canada, all-wheel drive has been standard throughout the third generation, and the Durango’s crossover construction makes it more comfortable and easier to drive than its truck-based predecessors. It also offers the kind of flexibility many buyers want from a three-row SUV, with standard seating for seven and available second-row captain’s chairs that reduce capacity to six.
What makes the 2016 model especially appealing is the breadth of its powertrain and trim choices. The third-generation Durango’s lineup includes the Pentastar V6 as well as 5.7-litre, 6.4-litre, and supercharged 6.2-litre Hemi V8s, giving it a range that spans everyday use to serious performance. Canadian trims include SXT, R/T, Citadel, GT, Limited, SRT 392, and SRT Hellcat, and the sportier versions add details such as Brembo brakes, black-finished aluminium wheels, sports front seats with faux suede trim, and distinctive exterior and interior accents. Later-model features can also include leather or Nappa leather, a premium Harman Kardon audio system, lane departure warning, a backup camera, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
There are trade-offs, though. The earliest model years of this generation were affected by numerous recalls for issues including brake failure, problematic fuel pumps, and electrical and wiring problems, so inspection matters. Even so, the 2016 Dodge Durango remains distinctive because it combines seven-passenger utility, strong available V8 power, and a wide spread of trims and equipment in a package that feels more refined than the old truck-based formula.

The features are GREAT !!! I am still trying to learn them all but I am having a hard time finding the power folding exterior windows. It should also have power folding rear seating. Great vehicle, the view from the driver seat is great if you are a short person.
