Is the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze earns a 4.1/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its impressive gas mileage, comfort, and available features, and many also like the Bluetooth system and spacious trunk. It fits well if you want a compact car with low running costs, a roomy interior, and useful tech features. Is the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze reliable?

Owners rate it 4.1/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a car that many owners find dependable for everyday use, especially when it comes to efficiency and comfort. At the same time, some reviewers mention reliability concerns such as overheating, so you should pay close attention to maintenance history and any signs of past cooling-system or electrical issues. For used buyers, that means the Cruze can be a sensible long-term choice, but condition matters a lot.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chevrolet Cruze?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 23.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 238 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $8,752 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze's resale value?

The current average of $8,752 CAD sits slightly below last year's $9,824 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Cruze has softened in the used market, which can make it easier for you to buy now, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying well below the current average will matter more than usual. A clean example with strong service records should still be easier to move than one with unresolved mechanical or electrical concerns.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.1/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 23.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.1/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Cruze is the better pick if you want the more polished second-generation design, stronger efficiency, and a good mix of comfort and technology. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 is the safer target if you want a more modern-feeling Cruze with decent market availability.
