This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

The current average of $75,218 CAD sits slightly below last year's $82,714 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a good entry point for you as a buyer, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations if the market stays cool. The current range suggests there is still healthy demand, but not enough to push prices sharply higher right now. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when you eventually resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 23.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction and current pricing, the 2016 is the one to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and look for the best-equipped example in the lower end of the market.
