Is the 2016 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a dependable-feeling driving experience, with many drivers describing it as smooth and trouble-free in day-to-day use. The same feedback also points to the kind of long-term ownership confidence that matters when you are shopping used. Even so, you should still budget for inspection and maintenance, because older luxury SUVs can carry higher ownership risk over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 160 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,028 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $13,028 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,586 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For you as a seller later on, that means the biggest value loss may already be behind the vehicle, especially if you choose a clean example with strong service history. Demand should remain supported by the Q5's premium cabin, comfort-focused character, and broad appeal among used luxury SUV shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Q5 makes sense if you want a well-equipped, comfort-first luxury SUV and you can find one with a clean history at a competitive price. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price or better deal share gives you more value for your budget.
