Is the 2016 Acura RDX a good car?

Generally — the 4/5 user rating points to a well-liked used SUV, and the 2016 Acura RDX’s overview backs that up with a focus on everyday usability, a roomy cabin, and a comfortable driving character. It is especially appealing if you want a practical compact luxury crossover with strong passenger space and a relaxed ride rather than a sportier feel. The market also shows 23.9% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle built around comfort, practicality, and a straightforward six-speed automatic all-wheel-drive setup, which can be reassuring for used buyers looking for a familiar ownership experience. For long-term ownership, your main risk is less about outright complexity and more about finding one that has been maintained well and still feels fresh inside.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Acura RDX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 117 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.95% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,552 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $17,552 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,397 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the RDX more attractive to you as a buyer today but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. On the other hand, a well-equipped luxury crossover with broad everyday appeal can still hold attention from shoppers who value comfort and practicality. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of value, comfort, and added driver-assist tech, the 2016 is the smart primary choice. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with a lower average price may be worth a look, but you may give up some of the 2016’s updated equipment.
