How much does the 2015 Toyota Corolla cost?

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Toyota Corolla earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

It is framed as a sensible, reliable compact car that still adds a bit of style, so you get an easygoing daily driver with some personality. The trade-off is that it does not aim to be especially exciting, which fits shoppers who care more about practicality than emotional appeal.

With 23.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding strong value if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Corolla is described as reliable and dependable, and the expert assessment reinforces that it is built around practical, low-drama ownership. Its 1.8-litre four-cylinder is described as refined and quiet, and the cost-effectiveness commentary says it is expected to prove cheap to own and retain a big chunk of its original value over time.

Toyota also positions it as a car that should be a dependable addition to your garage, which supports the case for long-term durability. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about complexity and more about finding one that has been maintained properly and not worn hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Corolla?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Corolla is offered in four trim levels: CE, LE, LE Eco and S. All versions include LED headlights, air conditioning, power windows, locks and mirrors, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver’s seat and Bluetooth connectivity with a USB 2.0 port. The LE adds larger 16-inch wheels and heated front seats, while the S brings a sportier cabin and exterior treatment.
• Powertrain: A 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine powers all versions through front-wheel drive. Most trims make 132 horsepower, while the LE Eco gets an extra 8 horsepower for a total of 140 and is tuned for better fuel economy. The six-speed manual is described as floppy and imprecise, while the CVT is the more efficient choice on the CE and S.
• Safety package: Toyota does not offer advanced active safety systems here. There is no blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with forward-collision warning or automatic braking. A backup camera is available, but it is not standard.
• Infotainment: Bluetooth is standard, and Toyota’s Entune App Suite is available on higher grades. The system uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen, and the setup includes large menu buttons plus physical volume and tuning knobs. The screen is small and the touch controls can be fiddly.
• Fuel efficiency: The Corolla is described as fuel efficient, and the test vehicle returned 7.9 L/100 km in mixed driving. Natural Resources Canada estimates 8.3 L/100 km in the city and 6.2 L/100 km on the highway for the test car.

Which 2015 Toyota Corolla trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota Corolla is offered in 4 trim levels: CE, LE, LE Eco and S.

Here's the short version:

• CE: This is the simplest path into the Corolla lineup, and it still includes the core convenience features you want. It suits you if you want the lowest-frills version and are comfortable with the standard manual transmission, while the CVT is available if you want a more relaxed drive.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds heated front seats and larger 16-inch wheels while keeping the Corolla’s practical formula intact. If you want the most balanced mix of comfort and everyday usability, this is the one to focus on.
• LE Eco: Choose this if fuel economy matters most and you want the extra efficiency focus along with the retuned engine. It is the trim for shoppers who prioritise running costs over sportier features.
• S: This is the most style- and driver-focused version, with unique exterior details, sportier front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, a Sport driving mode and revised dashboard trim. It makes sense if you want the Corolla with the most personality, but it is not the value pick.

There is no advanced safety package to step up to, so your trim choice is mostly about comfort, efficiency and appearance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Toyota Corolla?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it rewards patience and comparison shopping.

• Deal availability: 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 201 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,311 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $12,455 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,561 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Corolla is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can make it easier for future sellers to attract interest if they bought at the right price. Because the model is positioned around reliability and low ownership costs, it should continue to appeal to shoppers looking for a sensible used compact car. The main resale advantage comes from steady demand rather than rarity or performance cachet.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla safe?

The 2015 Corolla earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it a Good rating in all assessments except the small overlap frontal-impact test, in which it rated Marginal.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota does not offer advanced active safety systems on this Corolla. There is no blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with forward-collision warning or automatic braking. A backup camera is about as sophisticated as it gets, and it is not standard.

The Marginal small-overlap result is the main safety caveat to keep in mind when you are shopping used examples.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It balances sensible transportation with a bit more style than a purely basic compact car.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,789 CAD, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,455 CAD average.
• It starts the Corolla’s eleventh generation with a strong focus on fuel-efficient daily motoring.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,456 CAD, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,455 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished package and stronger value appeal for small-car shoppers.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, satisfaction and broad appeal, the 2015 is the smart default. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2014 can save you money, while the 2016 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package and can stretch your budget.
