What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is not too basic, with heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, text-messaging support, a rear-view camera, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Sport adds a small bump in power, paddle shifters, a firmer suspension, and unique 18-inch wheels. The EX-L brings more luxurious equipment, and the Touring sits above it.
• Powertrain: You can find a four-cylinder, a V6, or a gas-electric hybrid. The four-cylinder is smooth and refined, while the V6 is the stronger choice for quicker acceleration. Front-wheel drive is the only drivetrain.
• Safety package: Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, automatic collision notification, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning are only offered on higher trims. Every Accord gets a rear-view camera.
• Infotainment: The Sport includes Bluetooth, a hands-free text-messaging assistant, a USB port, and an auxiliary input jack. Navigation, satellite radio, HondaLink services, and adaptive cruise control require a higher trim.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the four-cylinder test vehicle should return around 9.0 L/100 km in the city and 6.7 L/100 km on the highway, and the reviewer averaged 8.8 L/100 km in city-heavy driving. The hybrid is rated at 4.7 L/100 km in city driving.

Which 2015 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Accord is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the essentials done well. It already includes heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, text-messaging support, a rear-view camera, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim if you want the Accord’s more engaging character. It adds a small power bump, paddle shifters, a firmer suspension, and 18-inch wheels, but it keeps technology content fairly limited.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to move up for more equipment. It can be upgraded with the V6 engine and adds standard heated rear seats.
• Touring: This is the top-end choice if you want the V6 and the most premium trim in the lineup.

Honda’s safety and driver-assistance features are packaged on higher trims, so check carefully before assuming a lower trim includes them.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 21.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 76 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.62% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,592 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $13,883 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,710 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar right away. At the same time, the Accord’s reputation for reliability, efficiency, and broad appeal helps support steady demand.

If you keep the car in good condition and maintain it properly, its strong reputation should help it remain attractive to used buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Accord safe?

The 2015 Honda Accord earns a five-star overall crash-test rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda’s standard rear-view camera is included on every Accord, while LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, automatic collision notification, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning are reserved for higher trims. If you want the best safety equipment Honda offers for this car, you need to shop carefully because it is not bundled into a simple standalone package.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 21.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs broad everyday competence with a reputation for dependable service.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $15,353 CAD, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,883 CAD average.
• Honda made several improvements that made the sedan better in several ways.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the better pick if you want strong value, proven satisfaction, and a lower entry price. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model with improvements, the 2016 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritise incremental updates over savings.
