Is the 2015 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Honda Accord earns a 4.75/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Drivers consistently praise its reliability, smooth driving experience, and fuel efficiency. The Accord also comes through as a strong value pick for families and new drivers, which fits its role as a practical midsize sedan that does its job very well. With its broad competence and polished everyday manners, it suits you if you want a dependable, easy-to-live-with car rather than something flashy.

Only 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback repeatedly points to reliability, and the model is also described as dependable and built to provide service for many years. The expert assessment reinforces that view by calling it quite reliable and noting that it is engineered to deliver dependable service day in and day out. It also benefits from strong cost-effectiveness, including fuel efficiency and good value over time.

One ownership risk to keep in mind is that some reliability perceptions are affected by complaints about the touchscreen infotainment system, so used buyers should test the tech carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the most basic version, but it still includes heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, text-messaging support, a rear-view camera, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Sport adds a small bump in power, paddle shifters, a firmer suspension, and unique 18-inch wheels. The EX-L brings more luxurious equipment, and the Touring sits above it.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a four-cylinder and a V6 gasoline engine, with a gas-electric hybrid also mentioned. The four-cylinder is smooth, refined, and sprightly, while the V6 is the stronger option for quicker acceleration. Most four-cylinder trims use either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
• Safety package: Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, automatic collision notification, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning are only offered on higher trims. Every 2015 Accord does include a rear-view camera.
• Infotainment: The Sport includes Bluetooth, a hands-free text-messaging assistant, a USB port, and an auxiliary input jack. More advanced features such as satellite radio, HondaLink services, navigation, and adaptive cruise control require a higher trim.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada figures cited for the four-cylinder test vehicle are around 9.0 L/100 km in the city and 6.7 L/100 km on the highway, and the reviewer recorded 8.8 L/100 km in city-heavy driving.

Which 2015 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Accord is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you a solid equipment list with heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, text-messaging support, a rear-view camera, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim if you want a more engaging drive, because it adds a small power bump, paddle shifters, a firmer suspension, and 18-inch wheels without moving into the pricier luxury trims.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel, since it adds more luxurious equipment and can be upgraded with the more powerful V6 engine.
• Touring: This is the top-end choice and is also available with the V6 engine, so it suits you if you want the most premium version of the Accord lineup.

Safety-package features such as LaneWatch, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning are reserved for higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 74 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.90% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,598 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $13,707 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,413 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you own one now, the current trend points to steady but not especially strong short-term appreciation. The Accord’s broad appeal and reputation for reliability should still help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Accord safe?

The 2015 Accord earns a five-star overall crash-test rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, automatic collision notification, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning are only offered on higher trims. Every 2015 Accord does come with a rear-view camera, but Honda’s packaging strategy means you may need to move up the trim ladder to get the more advanced driver-assistance features.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 stands out for dependable service, strong fuel efficiency, and broad all-around competence.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $15,706 CAD, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,707 CAD average.
• It brings a number of improvements while remaining a sensible family sedan.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2015 is the smarter buy because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction remains strong. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year with incremental improvements, the 2016 is the secondary path to consider.
