Is the 2015 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Honda Accord earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Drivers consistently praise its reliability, smooth driving experience, and fuel efficiency, and many also see it as a strong value for the price. It is especially appealing if you want a family sedan or a first car that feels solid, competent, and easy to live with. The Accord’s broad everyday competence and reputation for ageing well make it a strong fit for shoppers who want a dependable midsize sedan.

Only 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful comparison shopping.

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers repeatedly describe it as reliable, and the review summary also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience with strong long-term appeal. It also notes that the car doesn’t cost much to own and operate because it is fuel-efficient and quite reliable.

Honda’s cost-effectiveness commentary adds that the Accord holds its value over time, which is another positive sign for long-term ownership. The main used-buyer risk is that some reliability complaints are tied to the touchscreen infotainment system, so you should check that it works properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is well equipped with heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, text-messaging support, a rear-view camera, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Sport adds a small bump in power, paddle shifters, a firmer suspension, and unique 18-inch wheels. The EX-L brings more luxury-oriented equipment, and the Touring sits above it with V6 availability.
• Powertrain: You can find a four-cylinder, a V6, or a gas-electric hybrid in the Accord lineup. The four-cylinder is smooth and refined, the V6 is the stronger choice for acceleration, and the hybrid is the efficiency play.
• Safety package: Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, automatic collision notification, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning are only offered on higher trims. Every 2015 Accord does include a rear-view camera.
• Infotainment: The Sport trim includes Bluetooth, a hands-free text-messaging assistant, a USB port, and an auxiliary input jack. If you want satellite radio, HondaLink services, navigation, or adaptive cruise control, you need to move up to a higher trim.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review says the four-cylinder should return around 9.0 L/100 km in the city and 6.7 L/100 km on the highway, and it recorded 8.8 L/100 km in city-heavy driving. The hybrid is rated at 4.7 L/100 km for city driving.

Which 2015 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Accord is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value-focused choice if you want the essentials done well. It already includes heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, text-messaging support, a rear-view camera, and alloy wheels, so it covers the basics without forcing you into a pricier trim.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim if you want the Accord to feel a bit more engaging. It adds a small power bump, paddle shifters, a firmer suspension, and larger wheels, but it still keeps the feature set relatively simple.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to move up for more equipment. It is the trim that opens the door to a more powerful V6 and adds standard heated rear seats.
• Touring: This is the top-end choice if you want the V6 and the most premium version of the Accord lineup.

Honda’s safety and driver-assistance features are packaged on higher trims, so check carefully before assuming a lower trim includes them.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 77 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.05% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,380 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $13,433 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,609 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Accord is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can help you if you are shopping now. For a future seller, it also means there is less room for appreciation in the near term unless market conditions improve. Even so, the Accord’s reputation for reliability and broad appeal should help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Accord safe?

The 2015 Honda Accord earns a five-star overall crash-test rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda’s standard rear-view camera is included on every 2015 Accord, but several of the more advanced driver-assistance features are reserved for higher trims. Those include LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, automatic collision notification, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning. If safety tech matters to you, make sure the trim you are considering includes the equipment you want.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 Accord is exceptionally well engineered and built for dependable service over many years.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $15,011 CAD, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,433 CAD average.
• Honda made several improvements that made an already popular family sedan better.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the better pick if you want a lower entry price and strong long-term appeal. If you can stretch for the 2016, you may get a slightly improved version, but price-sensitive buyers should feel comfortable targeting the 2015.
