Is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction for a family-focused three-row SUV. Owners commonly praise its spacious interior, comfortable ride, and useful features, and the model’s broad everyday appeal comes from its practical commuting and road-trip usability. User feedback also points to dependable family use when the vehicle is working well, with many owners describing it as a comfortable, trouble-free travel companion. For used buyers, that means you should treat service history and test-drive behaviour as especially important before committing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 17.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 117 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.32% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,448 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $9,710 CAD sits slightly below last year's $10,949 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future depreciation feel less abrupt if you buy at the right price. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your best protection is to buy near the lower end of the range and keep the vehicle well maintained. Strong demand for roomy family SUVs can help, but the transmission reputation may still weigh on resale confidence.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 17.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a spacious three-row SUV with strong family appeal and you can verify condition carefully, the 2014 is a sensible choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
