Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 36 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.05% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,966 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class's resale value?

The current average of $33,119 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,630 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations if the market stays similar. The current range suggests there is still demand, but not enough to push prices sharply higher. If you maintain the car well and keep records, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:
