Is the 2014 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its ruggedness, power, and versatile driving experience, and they especially value how capable it feels off road. That lines up well with its purpose-built character and broad equipment list, especially if you want a vehicle that prioritises adventure and customisation over everyday refinement. User feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable in the kinds of situations it was built for, with owners repeatedly highlighting its ruggedness and capability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its strengths off road can come with compromises in everyday use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Jeep Wrangler?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 152 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,012 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $16,012 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,453 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Wrangler more approachable for you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Because demand is tied closely to its rugged image and off-road appeal, well-kept examples should remain easier to position than more ordinary used SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a strong choice if you want the Wrangler’s classic rugged character with a more modern feel and you value off-road capability over comfort. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2014 stands out as a sensible primary target when you want a well-liked, capability-first SUV.
