The current average of $9,843 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,236 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means future resale upside may be more limited if the market stays weak. A well-kept example should still be easier to move than one with visible wear or incomplete service history.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport or consider a different year?

Choose the 2014 if:

• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.40% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a sensible choice if you want a used Santa Fe Sport with softer pricing and enough inventory to shop carefully.
