This is my third dodge journey. I like the car because of the room. It has 3 rows. When I fold down the third row I have plenty of room for my items. Good fuel economy and lots of storage space. Not a ton but just enough power to hit the road and a great monitor for any warning signs for the car.

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.
There are 178 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice if you're comparing condition, mileage, and trim.
Is the 2014 Dodge Journey a good car?
Generally — the 4/5 user rating suggests this model year is a solid pick if you want a used SUV with broad appeal. That kind of score usually points to a vehicle that meets expectations for everyday ownership, especially if you focus on well-maintained examples. The market also shows 14.6% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2014 Dodge Journey reliable?
Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
For used buyers, that points to manageable long-term ownership risk if you choose carefully and verify maintenance history before you commit.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Dodge Journey?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 14.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 178 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $7,053 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 Dodge Journey's resale value?
The current average of $8,041 CAD sits slightly below last year's $8,073 CAD.
That small decline suggests resale values have been fairly stable rather than sharply weakening. For you as a future seller, that can be reassuring because it points to a market that is not moving dramatically in either direction. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you should be better positioned when it comes time to sell.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2014 Dodge Journey or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 14.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want a used Journey with stable pricing and a decent pool of listings, the 2014 is a sensible place to start. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, keep an eye out for the best-priced examples and compare them against nearby model years before you decide.
