Talk about value for the money. This car has been a good and relatively reliable all around family car with plenty of comfortable space for four (sometimes five). Looked at Accord, Fusion and Sonata and ended up with Optima.
Great rear seat leg room - much better than Fusion.
Gave up more supple leather and more horsepower from the Sonata, but paid 10% less.
Liked styling and additional standard equipment and better mileage than Accord.
Needs better front seats. Newer versions have improved the leather but cut down rear seat headroom.

For a 4 Cyl, the acceleration is very good, and is a TON of fun to drive. The appearance could have been a bit for B.A., but I think overall it looks fairly nice. The gas mileage is really good too. Interior is easy to keep clean, although the back window is a mother effer to clean from the inside!

I was more interested in an SUV. And the optima has been known to have major issues at 102000 miles. Im interested more in vehicles that are more likely to make it to 300000 mi.
