(35 reviews)I used to own an 01 XJ and sold it a year ago to get the new KK Liberty. It kind of reminded me of the XJ but in a larger package. First thing I noticed is how heavy it is compared to the XJ and the gas pedal is not synchorinized with the engine... its weird.. not like the XJ where you press the gas pedal and the response is instantenous, the whole car shakes because of its power... I did not find this in the new Libby. Ride quality is nice but sometimes its just too soft... maybe with some aftermarket shocks and a little lift this could be fixed. Interior space is much more friendlier and nicer than the old XJ. All in all I was pleased, but I do have one request for JEEP: make the next gen Liberty a 4.0 litre engine with around 270 hp so it can compete with the 4runner.
Comfortable and roomy. Great entertainment system and bluetooth technology. Great beach Car. Fits a lot in trunk. Can remove back seats for for bigger loads. Moon roof lets a lot of light in. Great in snow. leather seats are easy to clean. Love It.
The redesigned styling of the Liberty is what initially drew me to consider it when I was in the market. I've found the vehicle to be versatile and quite capable in DEEP snow. As a Paramedic it's imperative that I be able to get to work, the Liberty never let me down. Mechanically I have no issues. Regular oil changes and routine maintenance is all that has been required. I just replaced my original tires at 74,589 miles...Not bad!
I bought this vehicle after we drove a rental and fell in love with it. The ride is very smooth, the handling nice, overall very nice ride for an SUV. The newer body style is MUCH roomier than the old style.
Ideal smaller SUV for those that want a traditional truck/SUV drive, height, and feel, not a lifted family sedan
