The Cayman is nice looking from many angles, but not all. I never fails to collect compliments, if you are into that sort of thing. I guess that's got more to do with the Porsche brand, which I find subtracts from the car somewhat. I find the the seats really comfortable and supportive, however, I am fairly slim and I think broader frames would find the seats snug. I love how low you can sit in the car. Visibility is surprisingly good, even with the seat positioned low. Fuel economy is good; about 21 mpg, even with frequent "Italian tune-ups". Maintenance and repair costs are about what you might expect; not cheap. But the car is entirely worth it. The engine is a masterpiece. It sounds great all of the time. It has really effective and linear torque delivery. The throttle response is incredible. And it loves to rev. The steering is brilliant. Hydraulic, so it communicates as it should. The car is incredibly balanced. It will understeer, if you accelarate hard into a turn. However, if you stab it into a turn, it is neutral and you can control the the yaw with the throttle. It flatters the driver. The ride is good, considering that the car is nearly a track weapon. I really have no complaints about the car. It's brilliant!

Currently my favorite car on the market. Handles better than any other car I've driven, and has nearly enough power to compete with the 911. With the new option of a limited slip differential, this is likely the most fun you can have in a car. Born for back road twisties, the 49/51 ratio provides a nearly unnoticeable understeer until you really cut in and start to slide the back end. The transitions are very manageable and you get a great feel from the car that lets you know that you're approaching its limits without just crushing you with its might. And it's got a decent sized trunk and hood storage for actual luggage!

Performance - Great acceleration, unbelievable handling. It eats corners for lunch. Build Quality - I've owned it for two years and its been in for service once! Appearance - One of my favorite cars on the road. Cost of Ownership - Gas is reasonable (unless you're pushing it) Fun Factor - 15 out of 10

This is the best car I have ever driven. Even after 4+ years of owning it I smile every time I get in it. The steering feel is amazing. The brakes fantastic. The engine sound just right. I wish it had more power and I'm thinking about 996 GT3 seats. It has been (knock on wood) cheap to maintain (I DIY most everything). Can't go wrong w/ one. Don't sweat the IMS/RMS stuff you hear. Just get a pre purchase inspection (PPI) if you plan to buy one (or a 996).
