Steering wheel intermediate shaft clunking. Known ongoing issue with Chev. Trucks. Clunk feel transmits through the steering column. It is the intermediate shaft lubrication and after some wear the plastic steering column bushing has a little play in it. Both are replaceable, but this is not always necessary, as there is nothing mechanically wrong with the steering, nor is there a safety defect.

After 22 years and five wonderful Ford Powerstrokes I was forced to abandon the Ford when their diesel program fell apart. My new "HD" Chevy is MUCH lighter than it's Ford twin, from overall weight to suspension components, but we're really enjoying it. The quiet, tractable, Duramax has HUGE power and decent fuel economy. It's a joy to tow with, and the cab and creature comforts are best in class. I love the stereo system and nav too - it's great for a factory system, though it could use new speakers.

This truck has head turning looks, yet would get the job done. Great towing capacity with gooseneck and bumper pull hitches. Always reliable never disappoints. The cab is roomy and very comfortable. Handles nice and is safe as they come.
