As a successor to the previous generation E36/7 (roadster) Z3, BMW adds a tastes of Bangle-styling to the new E85 Z4. It is indeed a love-it-or-hate-it styling; but after looking at it for a while you kind of get used to it... it does look more proportional, more appealing, and more sexy than the Z3. Step into the car you will find the bucket seats hugs you comfortably while it takes you onto the fwy and windy mountain roads with easy. It is great fun driving this little convertible. You can fit 2 golf bags in the trunk but you do have to squeeze. Overall, this is a great weekend car for a trip to the resort or just for some driving fun.

I drove my mom's Z4 3.0si with a 6 speed during the summer for awhile when my car was getting a major overhaul and I have to say this was a very fun car to drive. Although people are either turned on or off by the looks, personally I think the car looks amazing. Performance wise there is plenty of power almost everywhere in the power band. I felt it was easy to pass on the highway without having to downshift from 6th gear and a lot of this is due to the weight of the vehicle itself. The manual transmission has nice solid throws and the factory exhaust has a nice aggressive sound although I personally would have a cat-back built. Only downside to this car is it is uncomfortable for tall people such as myself to get in and out while the top is up. I feel that this was the case because I was rushing to get back in and drive it some more.

This is the perfect car if you don't have a family. Its so well rounded in many ways, power, looks, fuel economy. The unique design is like nothing out there.
