pros- its fast, handles like its on rails, great fuel milage, good aftermarket, simple to get another 50hp out of cons- crappy gm fit and finnish, 5x110 wheel bolt pattern makes aftermarket wheel choices very limited, matinance costs arent exactly cheap, but its not that bad

The performance is more than you would suspect with 250hp, 15lbs of boost and drilled and slotted rotors. Of course this is after the stage 2 kit. But thats a must have. Gas mileage is decreased with the power adder but overall a good car.

From a mechanical standpoint this car is awesome. In 2005 it set a record for production fwd cars at the historic nurburgring in germany. However Chevy opted to do things that dont make sense to me. For example they dressed up the motor with fancy covers, they gave me a massive spoiler, a 7 speaker sound system and pointless 18" wheels. While to some this may be a good thing, but when the interior build quality isnt up to par with anything in its class I would have much rather had a moderate stereo cloth seats no spoiler 17" wheels off some other car in the gm lineup and cloth seats in exchage for NO RATTLES.

Acceleration is decent. stops and handles decent. interior is not bad. the seats are awesome, minus the fact that they dont fit inside the car perfectly... Its a chevy. The apperance, lots of stile and pazazz. the car is a good deal if you are looking for a affordable, hot, quick ride with great MPH, consider the cobalt SS/SS or SS/TC .
