The 2000 Mazda Miata is a perfect little roadster. The car is fun to drive, especially on curved and winding roads. COnsidering that it is not a powerhouse, the car is surprisingly fast and looks and handles like cars priced at much higher pricepoints.

excellent buy, The pocky 1.6 engine doesn't disappoint with its performance and economical on fuel, after doing heavy reseach since buying my motor for you tuning nutz the 1.8 vision on the mk2 is easier to get performance parts, but its two insurance brackets higher and the the difference of 30bhp i couldn't warrent spending the extra cash, they handel as well as the reviews a pleasure to throw it into a bend, being a base model no abs but i love the raw feel of the car! a must buy for a driving nut! plus driving down the country roads with the lid down brings a whole different concept to world, i love it!

I owned this car when I lived in England, and had to sell it when we moved to the United States. While I owned it, I was in car heaven! This was such a cool car to drive - and I mean that literally. (If you've ever driven an open-topped car in England you'll know that it is a COOL experience - more like bloody freezing!) I loved this car, and was heartbroken when I sold it before we moved. Unfortunately, while I owned my Mazda, I was involved in an accident when an uninsured driver ran into the back of it at traffic lights, then pushed me into the back of another car. This made me a little nervous about buying such a "diddy" little car in the US, because it did not stand up well to the impact. Still a gorgeous little car!
