Because of the small engine, acceleration is not very good but it´s enough. Handling is one of the best sides of Audi A6. Build quality was positive surprise. Nothing to complain so far. Interior in -00 A6 is very nice. It is simple and practical but also good looking. This car is very roomy, especially back seats are great. 1.8-20v engine without turbo is too small of course but in the other hand it doesn´t consume that much. It is something like 8.9 litres per 100 km approx. Maintenance costs are much more lower than in my past Mercedes w124. This Audi is a very good car. It´s a lot of car for the money.

Great car. Quattro is excellent in snow/slop, 2.8 power/acceleration is adequate (not enough to get into trouble, plenty to get out of the way), handling & ride are great even after 13 years. Updated with 18" RS4 rims, looks great.

Overall, I love it. at 110,000 miles, it still takes off from the line. Handling, is awesome, braking power is astonishing (4 pads and dual pistons per front rotor). Quattro system gives me confidence during snowboarding trips. Its appearance/design is timeless...ages well. Gas mileage is above par for its power, averaging 25 mpg during mixed driving.

I just bought a 2000 Audi A6, 2.7L. Twin-Turbo, from a private seller. The car is not stock. The previous owner added a few performance parts, including chips, air filters, etc. The A6 is deceptively roomy inside and has more options/buttons than a Boeing 747 cockpit. The car handles very well and the Twin_Turbos are a great addition, thus, making this mid size luxury car, quit the Sleeper. I'm extremely happy and can't wait for my first winter driving experience in my All-Wheel drive Audi A6.
