Built to last, elegantly styled, very luxurious. 240k miles and still going. It's got a 70 litre tank, and the 1.9 TDi unit manages 200 miles per quarter, quite easily. With respectable performance, it's an excellent, comfortable cruiser on the autobahns and motoways.

1.8 Saloon Automatic Model, despite 190k miles the
engine is immortal, smooth idle, no rust. Only problem I
had was the distributor (one after the other the service
lights came on and then the power went completely
within half a mile maximum, quite scary - anyway, the
distributor needed replacing, $170 for a used one,
double for a new one). Now car is back to its best.

The second generation A6 is my favourite car that I have owned. It gave good performance, along with strong reliability and comfort. The styling still looks fresh today, and with 165000 miles on the clock when I sold it, it still drove like new. The 1.8 Turbo 20V engine Performed very well, but I would recomend the 1.9 TDI.

This was a fantastic car, solid, unstoppable in the snow (with Bridgestone Blizzaks), roomy (it had a popup third seat in the "way back" for carrying extra people to the beach).

Great Bose stereo and plenty of room. Looks great in red. Power is okay but could use a larger V6. Coldest air condition i have ever experienced. It handles great and the ride is velvet smooth. As a car i just drive it is excellent. Plus it has decent gas mileage.
