Used Honda Prelude for Sale near Abbotsford, BC

The 1993 Honda Prelude VTEC has proven to be a success for it's time. The 4cyl 2.2L FWD coupe makes an astonishing 190HP and 160ft.lbs. of torque with a redline of 8000RPM. The Prelude's curvy body style makes it real aerodynamic which is always good on the highway and for the economy. The factory suspension makes the Prelude's center of gravity low and with the help of the 15x6.5 alloy's, the car sticks onto the road. So if your looking for a car that has looks, performance, economy, and reliability, the Honda Prelude is the car for you.

Not a bad car at all, mine has the notorious H23 engine, which is the 2.3L non-VTEC motor put into the mid-level trim. The car had 160 hp from the factory and it's reasonably quicker than most cars of its age. Braking is good due to disk brakes all around and the steering is good. Only thing that's bad with the car is the motor. Had I bought one with a H22 engine I would have fewer problems. The H23 has had many issues and is soon going to die at less than 225k kms. Otherwise the drivetrain is solid, no squeaks or rattles or anything else wrong. Interior is great for the driver, great bucket seats that after 20 years are still firm and showing no signs of breaking down or wear. 4th Generation Preludes have the unique all-across dashboard which people will notice when they ride in your car. Exterior has quite a bit of rust but the car was never taken care of. Styling is quite nice, I like how these cars look a lot. Cost-wise repairs are cheap generally. If you have to source or order a part it can get pricey due to the car's age but the engine is big and easy to work on. Needs very little maintenance except oil changes. Only had one major breakdown in the car and that was a distributor needed to be changed around 200k kms. Car gets a little over 20 mpg, which is reasonable for the age. Hondas of the period are usually much more efficient but the Prelude was the premium sport model and has an engine almost twice the size of Civics or Accords. Car is fun to drive, still powerful enough to pass people and handles great.

This car lived with me for over 11 years and now I don't know why I sold it. It put a smile on my face for over 150,000 miles. I am not saying it was perfect. I had the usual ABS and 4WS issues that everyone gets but for out and out smile factor all you need to do is tip that rpm over 5500 and it growls. The wolf comes out and the day is good. It took a lot of that from me and that engine was still good when I sold her. Wish they still made them

Prelude is an excelent car. The performance and build quality is great as for what you expect form Honda. 4 Wheel Steering system is absolutely amazing. It's not a cheap car to maintain. The gas consumption is OK for the 160 horses under the hood but don't push the pedal too much or it's going to suck your wallet empty. For a '92 model Honda Prelude is still a headturner. The interior is cool. I like the dashboard which extends from side to side and gives a "starship" feel. The backseats are just for kids. Full grown person can't sit at the back. It's very fun to drive. Grabs the road tight with it's 4WS. Actually it looks more expensive car than it is.

Handled well had a very sporty interior with great gear box and responsive for someone who lived in the inner city
