Not an out and out speed-demon but can easily out handle and accelerate its modern counterparts but lacks top end speed. It is still winning motorsport events against subaru impreza's and other quality rally machinery from today albeit in non-standard format.

actually, i loved it. it was reliable..never broke down in 15 yrs..the body work was a bit poor..it had lots of rust that i took out. it was simple to maintaim..changed the oil, brake pads and oil filter myself..i wish i never got rid of it! Didn't cost a cent to run, except for petrol.

I owned the car for about 10 years and used it as a daily drive.It was the 1600 sport which I had converted to 5 sp and fitted a weber carb and K&N filter. I had the interior covered in leather and resprayed it yellow with black 15 inch mags.Gas milage was bad but that was more my right foots fault than the cars

Had this for about 5 years. Ran great. A limitited time offer Team ford Model. Had a 1.6, sunroof, 5 spead and very nice mags. The car could "sit" in any turn in the road... best i ever had. would not mind if i get it back
