For a vehicle to qualify as a Mercedes-Benz certified pre-owned vehicle, a Mercedes-Benz or Mercedes-AMG vehicle must meet these requirements:

Warranty
Vehicles purchased under the Mercedes-Benz Canada CPO program come with the balance of the 4-year, 80,000-kilometre factory warranty, if applicable. Once that limited warranty is expired, the Mercedes-Benz Star Certified Pre-Owned Warranty adds another 2 years or a total of 120,000 kilometres to the term and covers the powertrain and other major components. An extended warranty is offered for an extra charge.
An extended limited warranty is also available to purchase with a CPO vehicle. It offers slightly more comprehensive coverage for an extra 24 or 36 months and up to 160,000 kilometres.

Roadside assistance
While the warranty is still in effect, roadside assistance is available to MBCPO owners at no charge. The service is provided 24 hours a day and covers tire changes, jump starts, towing to the nearest Mercedes-Benz dealership in Canada and the continental United States, and fuel refills. Roadside assistance also includes coverage for trip interruption: if a breakdown occurs more than 80 kilometres from your home, up to $500 will be reimbursed for hotel accommodations and up to $600 for alternate transportation per incident.
Vehicle Exchange Privilege
Within the first 5 days or 500 kilometres of the original purchase, a Mercedes-Benz CPO vehicle can be exchanged for another should the buyer not be satisfied. If the new vehicle is more expensive, the buyer pays the difference in the vehicle prices.

A vehicle history report will be supplied with every certified pre-owned Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
