Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can start my car and it will shift and drive with no
problem but after a short amount of time it will
stop driving/shifting but if I turn car off and start
up again, it shifts again with no problem and
repeats itself. What is this someone please help??

Probably should stop in at a transmission shop for proper diagnosis. They can put a scanner on it to see if anything shows up. I'm thinking it may be the neutral safety switch. Gust a guess tho.

Doesn't neutral safety switch have more to do with car starting in proper gear/park?

Yes, like I said just a guess and thinking about it not a very good guess. Having it scanned for transmission codes would help. Transmission codes do not set off the check engine light.
