i have a 2006 saturn vue and the a/c doesn't cool at idle.

when at idle the a/c seems to warm up, but when I accelerate, the a/c cools just fine.  had the Freon checked and all was ok.  any suggestions?

the cooling fans are cycling like they are supposed to. problem only seems to be at idle.

Compressor or compressor clutch. If it is the clutch, you would be able to look in the engine bay and know if it is engaging and turning the compressor while idling. If it is, then it is your compressor wearing out.

NOT the compressor! It is a by pass valve on the back of the compressor. Located under the little plate held on by two 10mm bolts. Valve kit can be bought on ebay for $40.00

It is the ac clutch the distance from engaging is to big need to remove washers so the clutch is closer to engagement when electric is applied you tube has video on how to repair.
