sensor???

Asked by herringj Oct 02, 2010 at 03:11 PM about the 2006 Saturn VUE Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 saturn vue 4 cyl automatic.  The check engine light is on, just came on.  It has 79000 miles.  Everything appears to be normal but when started and you press on the gas nothing happens, it is just at idle.  You cannot rev the engine nor do the rpms go up, nothing happens at all.  Could this be a sensor problem and if so which one??

Get a OBD2 scan tool and see what the code is first, but the most likley cause is a bad TP sensor. (Throttle position sensor)
