Probably. The 215 and 235 are millimeters, a 20mm difference, 25mm being one inch, 235mm being 9.25 inches, so after all that you are going to have a tire less than one inch wider. I don't see any harm in that

You wrote two different things, on top it says 215 55 R17, I was reading the fine print you wrote 215 55 R15 to 235 55 R17, that is a much bigger wheel and tire..all bets are off ..however I think you have have just made a typo, as the '08 ES 350 Base comes with 215 55 R17~~~~~ 17 inch wheels stock

Call goodyear, fitrestone, discount tire, ask them the biggest tire they recommend! Why call all 3 because you get a better estimate and not a sales pitch! If they contradict each other TELL THEM.
