Your car has three fuse boxes. Go to the fuse box under the dash on the driver's side near the steering column. Look near the center of the panel for fuse #33, it's rated 7.5 amps. Check to see if it has burned out. That powers your Onboard Diagnostics Module. Tell us what you find.

Your diagnostic scanner should light up when plugged in. To make it communicate with your OBD 2 system you must turn the ignition key to "On' but do not start the engine.

GuruBVB9....Thank you for the good news. I just love it when my info helps someone fix their vehicle. Many people trying to get their emissions test find the diagnostic port dead. This is a fairly common problem.
