TR6 air conditioner compressor

Asked by Kathy Nov 20, 2023 at 11:36 AM about the 1975 Triumph TR6 RWD

Question type: General

Recent purchase, ac compressor has belt removed. Is it ok to remove and
should I plug the black hose exiting in rear.  Will it effect any problems.  I do
not want ac,, just adds clutter to engine  compartment.  Thank you for any
advice.       Tom Davis, Kennnedyville Md.

If he engine runs well, why fuss with it? If you want to remove the AC assembly, that's possible, and I believe that hose is just a vent anyway. If this were my car, I'd probably just get an AC retro-fit unit, but complete removal is absolutely another way to go.

No post again... Well, I thing I've got it. CarGurus is probably tired of messing with this, so maybe they're trying to discourage participation.
