How do you install a bc radio?

I am trying to install a cb radio in my 1990 firebird. I tried the cigarette lighter, but that was
shot. So is there any other way?

Could run you a hot power wire straight from the battery. Or check fuse for lighter. Test wires for it. Lighter socket might have power to it just the socket itself is shot.
