Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1992 Pontiac Firebird 3.1L V6 that is difficult to start and when it starts it wont hold the idle. The ignition control module was tested and is good. Replaced fuel filter, ignition rotor, distributor cap, and all 6 spark plugs. EGR valves move freely. fuel pressure diaphram does not appear to leak.

Your idle is too low, and it does out. Normal idle should be around 850rpm anything below 700, like 600 the engine will die out. Check Tue timing and do a compression test. Normal compression should be 8.8:1 also pour in a bottle of fuel Injector cleaner.
