'94 Firebird Trans Am

Asked by Selest Sep 09, 2018 at 01:24 AM about the 1994 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So, I'm not a mechanic and I'm pretty clueless
about my car. My car made three loud bangs and
stopped accelerating so I pulled over and shut off
my car. It hasn't started since.

My dad has replaced to O2 sensor, Fuel Pump,
Spark plugs and shims and charged my battery
completely. My car originally would make noise
when we tried to start it but after fixing all those
things, it now almosttttt starts. It does a thing
where it acts like it's gonna start but doesn't
actually catch to start. And it will keep doing that
until I turn off my key. My dad thinks it has
everything to start but not enough spark. I honestly
have no idea what to do but I'd really like to fix it
soon.
