1994 Pontiac firebird. oil dip stick has smoke coming out of it, the gage in the car for oil runs hot. I put smoke be gone in it,changed the oil.

I have a 1990 firebird with the 3.1l and I have been realized that when I start it to warm up, it sucks more gas then it does when I am driving it and I want to know why it does that. My other question is, one day. I was on my way back and I was at a stop sign and their was a car coming, so I put my foot to the floor to and it just died on me, it started right up and drove ever since that. 7 Answers

I have a 99 firebird 3.8 that is making a high pitched squeal that seems to be coming from the drivers side front wheel. It only happens when i start the car cold and only when the wheel is moving whether braking or not. It only lasts about three minutes or so. My best guess was the wheel bearing needing replacement but im not sure if it is coming from the wheel or if it just sounds that way from the drivers seat. It doesnt happen when idling. Stereo comes on and off. When it goes off completely the windows will not work This will take place for several minutes or hours before coming back on. Any suggestions around this?
