Emergency Brake light is staying on when ebrake if off on a 1995 Firebird, easy to fix without taking out fuse?

Not sure if this will cause MD registration to fail, but I want to fix it just in case...

Possibly bad switch or out of adjustment. Unplug switch from harness and light should go out. If so adjust or replace as needed

Check the brake fluid. The light serves two purposes.
