Question type: General

What led up to all the problems America had over price and availability of oil in the 1960s. Was it related to pollution or to international conflict, especially in the Middle East.

Prior to the Arab-Israeli War of 1967, America was a friend to the Muslim nations of the Middle East from whom we bought oil. But circumstances surrounding that war forever changed our relationship with those oil producing countries..... After Israel was created in 1948, Jews in America petitioned our government to support Israel in all causes. After the Arab world revolted against Israel in the early 1960s, Jews in America began to pour large amounts of money into the pockets of politicians to make America support Israel. As the 1967 Arab-Israeli war began, America took Israel’s side and sent modern weapons of war and money to Israel to fight against the surrounding Arab countries. And Israel quickly won..... After the massive Muslim loss, those Middle East Oil Producing countries gathered and declared America an enemy of Islam. They even created a new name for the United States: The Great Satan..... Out of this new contempt for the US and its solid backing of Israel, those Oil producing countries, led by Saudi Arabia began to create havoc with Oil production and prices. And later, Saudi Arabia and Iran, and others began a campaign of terrorism against the Western world that continued openly up to recently; but continues today in secrecy, as Muslim countries continue to plan retribution against the US and our allies..... Had the US stayed out of the Arab-Israeli conflict or not backed Israel, our relationship with Muslim Oil producing countries would have continued to be friendly, and the US would have avoided all the destruction and carnage that came out of the decision to support the enemies of those Muslim states. And had America not supported Israel, oil likely would have remained plentiful and the price of gasoline might be half what it is today. In the eyes of devout Muslims, America earned all the troubles we’ve had over Middle East oil..... I studied Judeo-Christian-Muslim religions while living in Saudi Arabia and Greece, and over the past few decades, have written at length on this subject. Bottom line: it's politicians’ perpetual search for money, and they'll represent any interest for it, even to the detriment of our country.
