Looses power

Asked by AeroVan95 Jun 14, 2018 at 12:10 AM about the 1995 Ford Aerostar XLT Passenger Van Extended AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving either uphill, downhill or level ground my van will loose power
between 50 and 60 mph.  Sometimes I can feather the gas pedal and it will pick
up speed again and sometimes I have to put it in neutral and rev up the gas
before it picks up speed again. Thought it might have been vaporlocking but it
will do it even if it is cool outside.

Replace fuel filter and add gas cleaner to gas tank and if you use the low grade gas all the time occasionally use the middle grade gas will help keep throttle clean.
