Why is my Headlight doors open with the switch off, then close with the switch on? 99 trans am

After gear replacement for missing teeth the headlight door working opposite
what they should. Any suggestions appreciated.

Try this open the headlights unplug the harness, disconnect the lift arm, rotate the motor 180 degrees use the hand wheel reconnect the lift arm.. its odd you have this issue but try synchronizing the lights to the switch. Double check all your work.

I just replaced the head light motors and one flips up when turned on and one stays down. The after u turn the lights off one pops up and one goes down
