Dealer Says Cargurus prices are usually wrong

The asking price at Finnegan Chevrolet Buick GMC in Texas for 2021 AT4 is
$53,845. I went down there to buy  this truck and it was 3K higher. The
dealership stated Car Gurus always gets the price wrong and they double dip
rebates. What a waste of my time. Where do the prices on here come from?

The dealers set the price and then lie about it.

Exactly! The Dealer is responsible for the entire content of their ad including the pricing! No different than a seller on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay, etc. Hope that helps! Jim

This is all a game to car dealers. They list at low prices and then raise the price while blaming the ad site. Until you understand it is a (crooked) game you don't have a chance of winning.
