1 to 5 minute delay for headlights to popup after activating the switch

Asked by hplover Aug 18, 2018 at 03:40 PM about the 2000 Pontiac Firebird SLP Firehawk

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've owned the car since it was new and I have noticed that the time delay has grown longer and longer. If it is a controller that is bad where is it located so I may check and replace it please...

More likely is that the motors are going bad. Do they raise and lower at the same time or does one operate sooner than the other? They should pop instantly as soon as you hit the light switch.
