how to get cover off to replace turn signal flasher unit

need to know how to remove the 2 clips on bottom of panel without damaging them.

The whole driver's knee panel must come down to see what you are doing. Just 4 fasteners (self tapping screws) with heads exposed under plastic caps on the bottom side of the panel. With that out of the way, you can see the flasher unit to replace it. The next time you do it, you can probably just reach under without seeing it!
