I have disconnected and reconnected the battery but no change. No dash
lights remain lit.

That is the battery still. Since you said "No dash lights remain lit" that is the battery because if it wasn't the battery the dash lights would remain lit unless you turned the car off. How long have you had the current battery for? I'd recommend buying a new battery and replacing the current one.

Battery is fine. The security light, service engine, traction light goes out.

you'll have to test for spark or fuel when the problem occurs , something may have gone bad when this happened by pure coincidence .

so i put in aftermarket radio into my 02 bonneville last saturday and got it all wired up corectly it turned on he memry was saving everything was fine but last tuesday i turned my car one it worked fine but later in the day when i was driving the radio randomly turned off and didnt turn back on the next day it turned on for like a minute and turned right back off i checked all the fuses theyre all fine i checked the wiring everything is the same and the connections are solid i have no idea what the problem is and why it wont turn back on now hoping maybe someone has an answer. i changed the battery took the cable off the car ran fine but when you shut it off it will not start battery is dead. seems to me like the current isn't gitting from the alt. to the battery.
