Instrument gauges and lights

On my 2001 sunfire the gauges work
intermediately and the idot light come on
and off . Does anyone have ideas what the
issue can be all ready replaced battery

Sounds like you have a loose connection in the harness that plugs into the instrument cluster. Try pulling it off and re-seating it. if that does nothing, try to follow the power wire from the connector back. Maybe a loose contact on the fuse block as well is suspect. It is not your battery (but you probably already found that out).
