brakes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

grabbing and grinding when brakes applied
checked slide pins, good,brake pads
good,caliper and rotor approximately 3 yrs
old, found I was missing top bolt on caliper
mount.I cleaned and greased all and put it
back together,all seemed fine driving in
town  was doing quite a bit of braking then
grinding started again, any suggestions for
this Google dependant girl??

It's possible you have a warped caliper, when it heats up it goes out of round. This will cause the brake pads to wear uneven...

Sometimes when a caliper bolts missing, the brake pads sit funny. Either too tight or off check, Im guessing thats where it is. Orrrr. A bad wheel bearing? Food for thought...
