What I mean is there is a safety switch on the shift lever so someone doesn't remove the key and walk away without the vehicle in Park.

Well there is little danger of someone getting in a Aztek and wanting to drive it away. Restart it and get it off of the incline to see if it functions properly.

Heeeeyy, Bob, your sense of humor is too good. I have two Azteks with a total of 395,000 miles and am ugly Aztek fan, so I'd be happy to steal a low-mileage Aztek with shiny finish, but only if you leave keys in and I can shift it into gear and drive it away. Also, I will bring it back when first serious maintenance issue arises but that could be six months.
