2006 Pontiac G6 truck won't open

Asked by Alex Sep 20, 2011 at 04:04 AM about the 2006 Pontiac G6 Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck won't open with remote or inside release button, but works fine with key. The lights come on to indicate that it's opening and I hear clinking from the relay inside the truck but nothing opens. I tested the actuator removed from the car with controlled dc power and it does open. What else can I try?

typo; I meant "trunk" not "truck" / 1am here...
