Theft Deterient How to turn off? 2006 G6

On my dash I see the theft deterrent light flashing. Never seen it do this before.How do I stop this from flashing? If possible? Read manual. Tried a few things. Of course it'll go off when you unlock the doors or put key in ignition. Is there a way to turn off this theft thing or not? Hopefully the light flashing will not drain my battery.

If that is what you are worried about, forget it. That little LED will flash for 4 months or more without draining battery..a clock draws more..0.02 amps and that LED 0.01..relax my friend..
