fuel pump specs

We have a 92 plymouth acclaim that just stopped running. We were told it is the fuel pump. In order to buy one we need to know if it iis inside the gas tank and any other specs on it. Is it just a module or is there a module and pump? Please if you could respond asap as we are out of a vehicle for work and need to fix this .
